Dr Alexander Meleagrou-Hitchens is a Senior Associate Fellow at the Counter Extremism Group. He is also head of research at the Program on Extremism at George Washington University and a Lecturer in Terrorism and Radicalisation at the War Studies Department at King’s College London. His research interests focus on the ideology and strategy of extremist social movements in the West, with a particular interest in militant Islamists and the extreme right. He is the author of ‘Homegrown: ISIS in America’ (2020) and ‘Incitement: Anwar al-Awlaki’s Western Jihad’ (2020)
