
Dr Damon L. Perry
Senior Associate Fellow
Dr Damon L. Perry is a Senior Associate Fellow at the Counter Extremism Group and an Associate Research Fellow at the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR). He was previously a Senior Research Fellow at the London-based think tank Policy Exchange.
Dr Perry specialises in Islamist networks and ideology in the UK and Europe, and related cross-sector policy challenges.
He is the author of The Global Muslim Brotherhood in Britain: Non-Violent Extremism and the Battle of Ideas (Routledge, 2018), and contributed the chapter on Islamism in the UK to The Handbook of Political Islam in Europe (Springer, 2024).
He has authored or co-authored numerous policy reports, including Blasphemy in Schools and The Trojan Horse Affair: A Documentary Record (both for Policy Exchange); The Islamic Movement in Britain (ICSR); and a paper on Islamism and education for the Commission for Countering Extremism.
Dr Perry received his PhD from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London in 2016.
